Qualifications

It is very important that any therapist you visit for whatever reason should be fully qualified and undertaking continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure that their memberships are up to date and continue to fulfill their registration requirements.  In most cases this means having ongoing confidential supervision together with taking regular additional courses throughout each year to maintain best working practice.  During supervision client confidentiality is maintained so that whilst the supervisee might seek advice on a particular case there is no possibility of any personal details going beyond the therapy room.

Below I have outlined my current qualifications and will be adding details of further courses and training as I receive them.

BA (hons) – Philosophy – 2:1 – University of Essex – 1993
Master of Arts – Philosophy – 1996
In both of these my emphasis was on philosophy of Mind and philosophy of Language

Diploma – Therapeutic Hypnosis and Psychotherapy – NSHAP July 2000

Associate Membership of CRAH – 2000

General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice – GHR

Diploma in Psychology (Conversion for Postgraduates) – Open University 2009 (four year part-time course)

This conferred Graduate Membership of The British Psychological Society

Registered Member of Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council

ISMAuk 2012 London Seminar – Wellbeing Today Makes a Difference Tomorrow

I am also awaiting confirmation of my application to become a member of International Stress Management Association UK (ISMAUK)
